Richard is an English qualified lawyer who set up and leads the PwC Legal Middle East Data Protection and Privacy team. Richard has extensive experience in data protection and privacy, having been involved in a number of significant privacy projects across the region. Richard has a particular expertise across the banking and finance sector as well as government, hospitality and aviation. In particular Richard has extensive experience advising clients on all aspects of data privacy, from legal privacy scope assessments, to implementation activities, in particular, third party contracting, international transfers, policies and procedures and use of cloud services. Richard also supports data protection regulators across the region, and has a deep understanding around government regulatory matters. Richard is a regular keynote speaker at a variety of data protection and privacy conferences and seminars across the Middle East.
